Biodiversa+ is very pleased to share our latest capacity building webinar on replay! This webinar delves into the critical topic of strengthening collaboration with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and other Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs).
The webinar provided scientists with insights into CBD issues, processes, and policy-making opportunities. Understanding the objectives and mechanisms of the CBD is key to encouraging scientists’ contributions to the policy-making processes.
This webinar gathered scientists funded through the BiodivHealth and BiodivProtect research calls. The BiodivHealth call, launched in 2018, is reaching a milestone with its final conference scheduled for 2024. Meanwhile, the newly launched BiodivProtect call is supporting projects aimed at protecting biodiversity from imminent threats. It’s a pivotal moment for these researchers to gain deeper insights into CBD processes, align with the international agenda, and actively contribute to policy-making efforts.
We appreciate the support of Ms. Jillian Campbell, who participated in our recent Biodiversa+ Policy Forum on the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and would like to thank the French Ministry of Environment, partner of Biodiversa+, for organising this webinar.
