EKLISPE is a knowledge and learning mechanism on biodiversity and ecosystem services aiming to support better decisions about our environment, based on the latest available knowledge. One of its key activities is about synthesising available knowledge in response to a given question submitted by decision-makers and other stakeholders on biodiversity and ecosystem services. In this context, a request submitted by BiodivERsA has been accepted by EKLISPE, as follows:
Is missing knowledge hampering the effectiveness of approaches that aim to restore biodiversity and ecosystem function and services?
EKLISPE is planning to carry out an in-depth horizon scanning and synthesis exercise in response to this request.
A first step of this exercise is an informal scan for existing knowledge that could be mobilised to respond to this question, which can be accessed here. We warmly encourage any knowledge holders to contribute to this call.
