The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan is organising the “2022 Horizon Europe Info Day @Taiwan” on 6 October 2022. Biodiversa+ is pleased to be taking part in this event that will provide critical information for researchers around the world interested in applying the calls related to the EU Horizon Europe framework programmes. It also aims at strengthening cooperation and communication between Taiwan and EU partners. Participants around the globe are invited join the event remotely. Livestream here.
This one-day event is divided in three parts:
- From 05:00 to 09:00 CEST, participants are invited to an ‘Introduction’, and ‘World Café’.
- From 09:00 to 11:30 CEST, the’ Opening Ceremony’ and ‘Break-out Session’ are organised.
- From 11:30 to 12:30 CEST, the day will be concluded with ‘Tips and Tricks’ and ‘Q&A’ sessions.

Programme:
1. The World Café – 07:00-09:00 (CEST)
Taiwanese researchers will be invited to participate in the ‘World Café’ in order to share their perspectives on research and innovation cooperation between Taiwan and the EU. The leader of each group will provide a summary of the suggestions to NSTC. The activity will provide a better understanding of the challenges encountered and potential solutions in Taiwan’s participation in Horizon Europe.
2. Break-out Session – 09:30-11:30 (CEST)
This session will be held immediately following the opening ceremony and participants will be divided into three groups (Sustainability, ICT & Materials, Health) based on participants’ interests. This activity will be conducted in English. It will be dedicated to the promotion of calls for the projects (such as Biodiversa+, Water4All, CHIST-ERA, M-ERA.NET-3, NEURON and TRANSCAN-3) related to the EU Framework Programmes including Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020. The Project Coordinators and their teams will be invited to join us virtually and give short presentations about the project overview and calls. They will also provide advice on how to write proposals, share success stories, introduce promotion activities andassist during the Q&A.
3. Tips & Tricks – 11:30-12:30 (CEST)
NSTC will present “Tips and Tricks” in Chinese, demonstrating administration guidelines for Taiwanese researchers in order to apply for EU projects. This session will provide prospective applicants with specific requirements on the calls, funding opportunities, and instructions.
