The Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) launched two new thematic assessments following the approval of its scoping document by its 8th plenary in June 2021:
- The “Nexus” assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health
- The “Transformative change” assessment of the underlying causes of biodiversity loss, determinants of transformative change and options for achieving the 2050 vision for biodiversity.
