A core Biodiversa+ activity is to support research & innovation programmes and funded projects. Biodiversa+ is launching annual joint calls for research mobilising a wide range of disciplines and addressing a variety of pressing issues.
2024 – 2025 Joint Call
The fourth Biodiversa+ annual joint call for research will be on the topic of “Societal Transformation” (#BiodivTransform).
This call will be embedded in our flagship program “Supporting societal transformation for the sustainable use and management of biodiversity” and will be co-funded by the European Commission.
Indicative timing
- Spring / Summer 2024: Pre-announcement of the call, with further information on its scope and the call process
- September 2024: Official launch of the BiodivTransform call
- November 2024: Deadline for the submission of pre-proposals
2025 – 2026 Joint Call
The fifth Biodiversa+ annual joint call for research will be on the topic of “Restoration of ecosystem function, integrity, and connectivity” (#BiodivFunc).
This call will be embedded in our Flagship Programme “Supporting biodiversity and ecosystem protection across land and sea”, which in the coming year will be updated to include the topic of biodiversity restoration.
