In February 2023, Biodiversa+ and Alternet officially became key collaborators! Our two initiatives join forces to strengthen the European science-policy/science-society interface and to foster capacity building for researchers from the biodiversity field.
Specifically, Biodiversa+ and Alternet collaborate on the development and organisation of the Alternet Summer Schools in Peyresq, France. Biodiversa+ provides funds towards the organisation of the summer schools and financially supports the participation of early career researchers from Biodiversa projects. It also participates in co-building the content and identification of speakers.
As key collaborators, Biodiversa+ and Alternet will not only mutually support the provision and promotion of training and guidance for capacity building in transdisciplinary research, innovation, and science-society-policy interfacing, but also participate in respective activities to mobilise the scientific community on these topics.
