COP17 will take place from 19 to 30 October 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia, marking the first global review of progress towards the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) and its 2030 targets.
At COP17, Biodiversa+ will highlight how science can support the implementation of global commitments and inform decision-making. From strengthening biodiversity monitoring and data use to engaging businesses, advancing nature-based solutions and bridging science and policy, Biodiversa+ works to ensure that scientific knowledge translates into action for nature.
Collective action
Biodiversa+ joins forces with four other EU-funded biodiversity initiatives CO-OP4CBD, Respin, BioAgora, and NetworkNature to strengthen the science–policy interface.
Located in the Blue Zone, the EU Science 4 Biodiversity Booth will bring together the five initiatives to share knowledge, showcase ongoing activities and foster collaboration. Discover the programme of meetings at the booth below, featuring EU-funded biodiversity projects and their contributions to implementing the KMGBF.
Side events
Biodiversa+ and partners will host several side events at COP17, covering topics from the science–policy interface and biodiversity monitoring to nature-based solutions, capacity-building and private sector engagement. Explore the programme below and join us to exchange knowledge, build connections and strengthen collaboration for biodiversity.
