Across the world, citizens, neighbours, activists, educators, volunteers, and community groups help shape the future of nature. This survey is your chance to tell policymakers what your community really needs.
As part of NetworkNature, a European network advancing nature-based solutions, we are launching a global survey to understand how citizens and civil society groups engage with nature, even if they don’t refer to it as “nature-based solutions.”
Community leaders, activists, educators, volunteers, neighbours, organisers, experts, or caring people: your voice will help co-create the Roadmap for Citizen Action on Nature-based Solutions, an EU-funded effort to understand what communities need to take inclusive, meaningful, and long-term action.
Our vision
NetworkNature aims to provide a Citizen Action Roadmap that becomes essential reading for any policymaker working with citizens and civil society to restore, protect, and integrate nature across all aspects of life.
When policymakers ask, “How can we better work with and support citizens?” — this roadmap will provide the answer, built from evidence, lived experience, and the first global stock-take on public perceptions of nature-based solutions.
As far as we know, the last major public survey on nature-based solutions was in 2015, and it only captured European voices. A decade later, we’re listening globally.
This survey offers the first updated worldwide snapshot of:
- How people engage with nature
- What barriers do communities face
- What support do they need
- How civil society groups already lead solutions, often under different names
The survey takes 4-12 minutes to answer. It’s anonymous.
Share your voice before 15 January 2026 to help build a roadmap for people and nature, together.
