Biodiversa+ is seeking a motivated Project Officer for NetworkNature.
As a partner in NetworkNature, Biodiversa+ is responsible for coordinating and implementing the activities related to research and innovation (R&I). These activities include:
- Facilitating the implementation and updating of the European R&I roadmap for NbS;
- Continuing to build a knowledge base on NbS R&I through mapping NbS R&I projects and developing a database on NbS knowledge gaps.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Under the supervision of the Biodiversa+ Officer for Nature-based Solutions and the Biodiversa+ Operational Manager for Governance, the Project Officer will be tasked with the following:
- Updating NetworkNature’s mapping of the European NbS R&I landscape.
- Updating the collection and analysis of knowledge gaps concerning NbS.
- Updating the NetworkNature European R&I roadmap for NbS to integrate policy and research programming up to 2030 and beyond.
- Monitoring the implementation of the aforementioned European R&I roadmap for NbS.
- Actively participating in, organising, and facilitating meetings, workshops, and dialogues.
- Providing support for the monitoring of the NetworkNature project, including administrative and financial aspects.
Candidate profile
- Education and experience
- Master’s degree in Natural Sciences and/or Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in the field of ecology and/or environmental science, or a related area.
- Ideally, experience in natural sciences and/or with Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
- Skills and personal qualities
- Excellent English comprehension and writing skills are an absolute requirement. The working language for this post is English.
- Clear understanding of scientific communication in English.
- Writing in a clear and concise style in English.
- Organisational Skills:
- Ability to organise information and work.
- Capacity to understand and follow guidelines to consistently implement a systematic process.
- Attention to detail and overall consistency in the implementation of activities.
- Data Research, Management, and Analysis:
- Database management and data analysis.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Ability to collect, synthesise, and represent information effectively.
- Excellent English comprehension and writing skills are an absolute requirement. The working language for this post is English.
- Other requirements
- Candidates must be eligible to work in France; support for work permits is not provided.
- French is appreciated (due to the French working environment) but is not compulsory.

- Salary: From €2,743 to €2,822 gross/month, dependent on qualification and experience
