Exciting opportunity for experts and enthusiasts in the field of biodiversity monitoring and ecosystem services! The IPBES has launched two calls for nominations:
- The methodological assessment on monitoring biodiversity and Nature’s contributions to people: the IPBES is seeking experts and fellows
- The second global assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services: the IPBES is on the lookout for scoping experts to help shape the assessment
The IPBES values diversity and seeks the widest possible participation and most diverse engagement of interested and qualified experts, including scientists, decision makers, practitioners and other knowledge holders from all relevant disciplines and backgrounds. This is vital to ensure the scientific quality, credibility and policy relevance of the assessments!
To help you understand and navigate the different IPBES nomination processes, IPBES Secretariat is organising on the 26th of October an online Webinar!

The IPBES fellowship programme, which is part of a larger capacity-building portfolio of activities, targets early-career individuals who wish to gain experience by participating in the work of IPBES. Selected fellows will participate in the preparation of the chapter of the assessment for which they are selected, and their contribution acknowledged as part of the citation for that chapter.
