During the recent SBSTTA-27 meeting in Panama, the side event Enhancing the role of knowledge holders in CBD: pioneering capacity-building initiatives across the world offered a perfect stage for an exciting milestone: Biodiversa+ and CO-OP4CBD unveiled a first preview of the upcoming CBD Guide, a practical new resource designed to help everyone navigate and participate more effectively in the Convention on Biological Diversity processes.
Co-developed by CO-OP4CBD and Biodiversa+, the guide aims to open the doors of the CBD processes wider. It provides clear explanations, concrete tools, and straightforward pathways for engaging knowledge holders, researchers, and policymakers, boosting the science-policy interface for biodiversity at both global and regional levels.
The preview version presented during the SBSTTA-27 side event offered a first glimpse into the guide’s structure and ambition. We’re now inviting the entire biodiversity community to explore it and help shape the final version.
