Biodiversa+ is looking for a new project officer!

Position

You will be part of the operational team, which plays a central role in implementing the partnership. The team currently consists of collaborators based in France, Belgium, Spain, and Finland. You will collaborate closely with Danish and Italian partners, who lead the Work Package.

Your position will be based at the French Foundation for Biodiversity Research in Paris. Travel within Europe is expected.

Mission

Your primary role (80% of your time) will be to:

  • Monitor the implementation of activities within Work Package 3 (WP3), which focuses on developing research and innovation to design and implement nature-based solutions (NbS), and on valuing biodiversity in the private sector;
  • Support WP leaders and partner organisations in executing activities related to WP3.

Additionally, you will dedicate 20% of your time to representing Biodiversa+ within the Horizon Europe NetworkNature project.

Activities

  • For Biodiversa+
    • Support partners in implementing planned activities.
    • Carry out assigned tasks, including drafting documents, mapping stakeholders, and organising events.
    • Provide support for practical aspects (e.g., organising meetings) as well as administrative and financial matters.
    • Report on activities, particularly for internal reporting within the partnership and to the European Commission.
    • Ensure the proper implementation of decisions made by the Partnership’s governance bodies regarding activities.
  • For NetworkNature
    • Oversee the implementation of the Work Package led by Biodiversa+.
    • Represent Biodiversa+ in project monitoring meetings as a Work Package leader.
    • Track project progress, particularly in relation to administrative and financial aspects, including reporting to the European Commission.
    • Participate in and facilitate coordination between the different project activities.

Your profile

  • Education and experience
    • Master’s degree (or equivalent)
    • Relevant training in European project management
    • Experience in ecology, environmental science, or a related field
  • Skills and personal qualities
    • General knowledge of programme themes such as Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and private sector & biodiversity
    • Good knowledge of European project management and experience in project management
    • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set clear priorities
    • Proactive and autonomous, with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility
    • Solution-oriented, thriving in a dynamic, multinational environment with diverse stakeholders
    • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
    • Eager to take on new challenges and expand your expertise
  • Language requirements
    • Fluent English (primary working language)
    • French proficiency (FRB’s working environment)
