As Europe’s leading network for biodiversity research, Biodiversa+ is dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical action. Acknowledging the growing recognition of biodiversity as crucial for business resilience and sustainability, we are developing two best practice guides, set for release in Autumn 2025, on:
- Sharing biodiversity data according to FAIR principles, produced by EY Denkstatt and the University of Twente.
- Using biodiversity data to assess and report impact, produced by KPMG and Naturalis.
To further explore these topics and foster collaboration, we are inviting forward-thinking companies already leveraging biodiversity data for smarter, more sustainable decisions to an exclusive workshop in Barcelona on 22-23 May.
Who should participate?
We anticipate around 30 participants with expertise in biodiversity data. We are particularly keen to welcome medium and large companies operating under EU Regulations within these sectors:
- Consumer Staples (e.g., food, beverage, tobacco, food retailers, food distributors)
- Materials (e.g., metals, mining, chemicals, paper and forest products, construction materials)
- Financials (e.g., banks, financial services, consumer finance, capital markets)
- Energy (e.g., energy equipment and services, oil, gas and consumable fuels)
Why participate?
