Biodiversa+ will participate in the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), held from 21 October to 1 November 2024 in Cali, Colombia.
In collaboration with the Horizon Europe-funded projects CO-OP4CBD, BioAgora, and RESPIN, we will co-host two side events at the EU Pavilion. These events will delve into the role of Science-Policy Interfaces (SPIs) in bolstering biodiversity conservation.
- The first event, taking place on 25 October (15:30-17:00 UTC-5), will explore the landscape of SPIs, their contributions to biodiversity policy, and how they can effectively integrate scientific research into policy frameworks to advance the implementation of the CBD and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF).
- On 31 October (17:30-19:00 UTC-5), our second event will focus on the biodiversity-health and biodiversity-climate change nexus. We will highlight the contributions of SPIs in mainstreaming biodiversity considerations across these interconnected domains.
See you there!
